Rights, Controversies, and the American Revolution
This lesson provides the framework to help students understand the difficult decisions and choices made by individual stakeholders on the eve of the American Revolution. Students will gain a more thorough understanding of the choices individuals made and will advocate for loyalists, patriots, and undecided people of many backgrounds in a debate to decide whether Virginia will remain a colony of Great Britain or break away to become independent.
