Prelude to the Revolution
When something snowballs, it means to increase, accumulate, expand, or multiply at a rapidly accelerating rate. The events leading to the American Revolution can be compared to a snowball effect, where one event led to another and another, with each event having increasing significance in accelerating the colonies’ separation from Great Britain. In this lesson, students explore several key events in the timeline leading to the ultimate conflict of the American Revolution.
