Visitors line both sides of the street to watch as the Bray School moves south down North Boundary Street on the morning of February 10, 2023. Here, the building begins to pass between campus and Duke of Gloucester Street, with the Wren Building (behind trees) in the background. The Williamsburg Bray School is the oldest extant building dedicated to the education of Black children in the United States. On Friday, February 10, 2023 (W&M Charter Day) the building moved from its location on campus to its new home at Colonial Williamsburg on the corner of Nassau and Francis Streets.
